Who are we?

Powerpack originated from the concept that children can be little 'powerpacks' for God. The ministry was founded in 1986 by Heather Thompson who is still the director of the ministry.

Powerpack is interdenominational and charismatic in character and team based, drawing volunteers from various churches throughout the UK and overseas. There is a core leadership team which is made up of Heather Thompson, Nick Jackson and Chris Jackson. The ministry is administered by the Powerpack Trust and is an associate ministry of the Ground Level Network.

Heather Thompson
Heather has been involved in children's ministry since she was too old to be a child in the Sunday school and was leading children's groups early in her teenage years. God called her to full time children's work when she was 15 years old and after training as a teacher and teaching for 5 years in both Primary and Secondary schools she left her job to do what God had called her to do.

Heather and members of the team have ministered in countries such as Romania, Armenia, Uganda, Italy, Argentina, South Africa, the Czech Republic, Thailand and the USA and extensively throughout the UK.
