Spring Harvest - Different Eyes (God's Champions)
From April 6th-16th the Powerpack Team led the 5-7s at Spring Harvest in Skegness. Our overall theme was God's Champions. Looking at Abraham, Moses, Samuel & Jesus as God's Champions. We then looked at how 5-7 year olds can live as God's Champions, living distinctively, liviing beautifully and seeing the world through Different Eyes.
We worked with over 600 children during the two weeks and amongst the fun, games, songs and activities God was powerfully at work. Below are a few testimonies from the week. There are many more. |

A few comments:
I know I am close to God I just want to get closer. It’s fun being a Christian but can be hard when I’m at home or at my friends and people are swearing.

We had an awesome prayer time praying for friends and family. We held hands and offered up prayers asking God to heal and do what is right of people.

What can I say..? our son Daniel has always really struggled to settle anywhere; school, play group, nursery, Sunday school. We prayed he would settle in well, You and God together totally exceeded our expectations! He has thoroughly loved every minute of it, couldn’t wait to go each day and then made a decision to follow Jesus. Hallelujah! Thanks so much,
A Parent
When Amy came to Powerpack at Spring Harvest in 2008 she was withdrawn and depressed and her parents didn’t know what to do. Amy had been born 3 months premature. God healed Amy at Powerpack so that after Spring Harvest she would ask for affection and was like any other girl. The change was so remarkable that friends and other people commented on it. The change was permanent. Two years on Amy and her family have travelled some distance to be at Spring Harvest – Amy’s parents are so thankful for what God has done through Powerpack.

God told me ‘No matter what you look like, I’ll love you forever’

Jennie made a decision to ask the holy Spirit to help her. She said that she didn’t tell any lies and behaved all day because the holy Spirit helped her.

Nick and the Powerpack team had a superb time at Spring Harvest. We were working for Skegness Week 3 with the 5-7 year olds. The theme was 'Apprentice: walking the way of Christ'. There were lots of stories, quizzes, puppet sketches and a silly drama called 'Dr Shoe and the Odoureaters.'
During ministry times at least 100 children became Christians and many were prayed for to have God's power, the Holy Spirit with them. A powerful moment was when children responded to the cross, by saying thank you, saying that they love God and choosing to follow him. |
A few comments were:
'While I was worshipping I started to cry, in a good way.'
'A leader prayed for my tummy ache and it went!'
'I thought that I had to tell my friends about God, but I God's told me I can shine Jesus' love to them.'
A highlight was the Children's Offering for Hoay Maw. Jenny & Adrian in Thailand created some superb videos and prayer materials to help the chidlren at all 6 weeks.
