Ministry Support Worker (MSW)

Are you, or someone you know, looking for an opportunity to give a year to help in Christian service, learn some valuable skills and grow in your faith?

At HBC we run a 50:50 scheme—work for the church half time and find a job to earn some money half time.

We promise some good teaching and training and ask for some committed service.

THREE STREAMS TO CHOOSE FROM :

1. Standard MSW: A mixture of work with children, youth or older people, as needed, along with some general work setting up the church building and helping with administration (good, general experience in church life)

2. Youth Specialist MSW: An emphasis on working with young people and enrolling on the ENGAGE programme with Oxford Youth Works (NVQ Level 3 qualification).

3. Children’s Specialist MSW: An emphasis on working with children and getting specialist input from the Powerpack organisation.

Aside from any specialist training we will:

· deepen your understanding of the Bible & how to study it and

· help you explore your gifting and how God has equipped you for his service.
