NEVER THE SAME AGAIN Heather visited Argentina in 2001 mainly to experience something of what God has been doing throughout the country since the early '80's. Her life and ministry would never be the sae again.
ADULTS NOT CHILDREN It was obvious that although Gd has been moving powerfully for over 20 years that this has mostly been among the adults and that the children have for the most part not been exposed to the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
ESTAMOS EN UN TIEMPO NUEVO! IT IS A NEW TIME We believe that 'estamos en un tiempo nuevo', it is a new time for the children of Argentina and God has opened a door for us to establish Powerpack there.
POWERPACK ARGENTINA There are a team of people in the city of La Plata led by Maricel Gutman and Walter Elia and in the near future Powerpack will become an officially registered ministry
NOVEMBER 17th 2008 FIRST POWERPACK MEETING A group of us from the UK were there to support the team of around 100 Argentineans rom 12 different churches in la Plata. Approximately 350 children attended the event and as well as lots of fun many of the children were also powerfully touched by the Holy Spirit.
THE FUTURE Plans include a series of children's meetings in different parts of the city and then a larger celebration towards the later part of 2008. We will also be exploring the possibility of some training sessions for children's leaders and we are working on getting some of our resources translated into Spanish.

During the summer of 2006 the children at our Powerpack events gave a total of £749 towards buying flip flops and Christmas presents for the children who live on the rubbish dump in Maputo
.

It has been exciting to work with Gesù Fonte di Acqua Viva churches in their main base in Modena as well as visiting some of their other churches in places such as Pesaro, Sienna and Taurisano. We have been involved in a variety of different types of ministry such as training children's leaders, children's, parents and family meetings.

Heather travelled to Thailand in January 2008 to visit team members Adrian and Jenny Oliver and Andrew and Esther May who are living in Chiang Mai with their families and serving God in various ways.
God opened some amazing doors and significant connections were made. Highlights included:
Bible School in Mae Sai
An opportunity to teach about children's ministry in a Bible School in Mae Sai (a town in the far north of Thailand on the Burmese border). The students are from the Akha tribe and many of these actually live and work in Burma travelling across the border daily at attend teh college. As a westerner it would be just about impossible to participate in Christian activities so it was a great opportunity o give these young people a vision for children's ministry.

This was held at Christian Outreach Centre in Chiang Mai which is an international church attended by many missionaries who work in both Thailand and the surrounding nations. Around 50 people attended the day from 10 different nations. God touched people's hearts and started giving fresh vision for children's ministry. There are plans to establish a network of children's leaders network and to organise further training sessions.
There was an interesting prophetic word given by Julie A. Smith in November 2007 to the effect that this is a strategic time for the children of Thailand and that od was going to use them powerfully. To read the word in it's entirity follow this link www.elijahlist.com/words/display_word/5850
