OXFORD
Nick and his family have lived in Oxford for many years. Nick is the Children and Families Leader at Headington Baptist Church. The church has about 75 young people connected to it, with a Sunday morning attendance of about 50 over the two services. He runs ‘Powerpack Weekly’ after school club for about 30 children from a range of schools. Nick is the leader of an intergenerational discipleship group, where children and adults eat, explore Bible, worship and pray together; the aim of the group is to connect with local families. Other roles in Oxford include working with CYM as a tutor, part of the Love Oxford team and local consultancy/training work.

Every year Nick and a huge team from Headington Baptist lead our annual Holiday Club. This involves about 50 leaders and 150 children. It is always an action-packed, fun-filled, God-encountering time.

Nick works with Linds Ledger to organise and lead CONNECT. It’s all about connecting children and communities in the areas of faith, this produces whole people who understand themselves more effectively and can relate to others of all faiths and of no faith with a deeper understanding and celebration of the links that bring people together.
BeSpace
Nick’s been involved with BeSpace (formally known as Prayer Spaces In Oxfordshire) for 5 or 6 years now. He loves setting up and running spaces in schools where children and staff can explore Christian Prayer, find space and ‘Be’. There has been so many positive elements come from these projects.
REInspired

WORKING WITH CHURCHES
Throughout the year the Powerpack team support, encourage and train teams in churches, work with groups of children and lead all-age events. This could be bringing a team to lead a children’s work for church weekend. It could be leading a training day or acting as a consultant for senior leaders and children’s ministry teams. It could be (and often is) a combination of these, with an opportunity to model the training that’s happened working with children and their families.
CHURCH WEEKENDS
Church Weekends with children are often led by Nick Jackson and a team from Powerpack. This could involve a Friday night session, two or three sessions on Saturday and one or two on Sunday. It may also include some training or workshops. Full details can be accessed on our church weekends page.
