Powerpack at Spring Harvest 2024

In 2024, Powerpack are leading the 5-7s at Minehead (8th-12th April). This page is information for team who have accepted places on team.

WELCOME

This is our information page for Powerpack team serving at Spring Harvest (it’s from 2019 but the big change is we are not in a building but in a marquee!). This page is designed to give you as much information as possible before you arrive on site.
ARRIVAL DAY ONE: We have a team meeting from 2.00pm-3.00pm in the Marquee followed by registration for families, which we all get involved with. Food is available from 12-2 on Day One (Monday 8th) and you can access chalets from 4pm-ish.

UP AND ALIVE Activity book

Every year we give each child an activity book, with Bible verses and puzzles in. There is no set time for this but makes a good welcome activity and is handy when they finish their snack early! Download a copy here.

Parents’ Letter

Each year we give the parents a letter explaining what’s going on and arrangements for pick up and drop off. Feel free to click and read this letter. We are also hoping to make up some gift bags of bits and pieces to give to children on arrival.

Team List

We organise our children in to groups of about 18 children with two leaders. These ‘dens’ are in four different colours: red, green, yellow and blue. In addition to small group leaders, we have administrators, stewards and additional needs leaders, who where hi-vis vests or purple t-shirts.

This team list changes often before the event and sometimes on the way! and the only accurate one is on arrival (and sometimes that is not correct!)

Organisation

5-7s Team meeting is Day 1 in a marquee near the Big Top at 2pm. Following our team meeting we welcome parents from 3pm to 6pm on Day 1 and allocate them to small groups. Everybody helps with this and stays throughout, with a short break to get food and sort chalets between 4-5pm) In 2024 we are in a marquee so some details may be different.
