On Saturday 19th May a group of children’s leaders and children gathered at Winchester Vineyard for a ‘Launch Day’ ready for Operation London on Friday 8th June. The day began with worship, led by the Children’s pastor at Winchester Vineyard, Larissa Grycuk and then Kate Whatmore (Salisbury Vineyard) & Trevor Johnson (King’s Church, Horsham) led a session about the missions available at the event in London. See Database. Steve Clarke (All Nations, Leicester) worked with all the children on an activity to help them engage and focus on what God was saying. Nick Jackson (Powerpack Ministries) and Robyn Thorman (Kingdom Life, Northampton) led the children through 3 mini operations praying for the sick, interceding for the economy and being a prophetic voice through the media.
The afternoon was spent at Operation Winchester, hearing God’s voice for people near the Cathedral. Each team did a ‘treasure hunt’ receiving clue to find people that God wants to bless. This was great and many ‘treasures’ were found and lots of people received prayer in winchester in the 30 minute window the team were there for!
