Ducks For Burma

Over the summer events we collected money to help a children’s home in Burma.  The children could play hook a duck, or buy forom teh South Asia shop to raise money to support these children.

Why ducks?  A duck in Burma costs 50p – one duck egg can be sold for 12p.  That means the the home and teh chidlren in the home can have a much better diet whilst selling eggs to make this sustainable.  So we encouraged the children to buy a duck!  Now with teh total raised we could buy over 1000 ducks, but we think we can buy plenty of ducks and use the money left for use in other sustainable projects would be better

The total raised at Faith Camp and RIVERCamp was £564.

This will make a massive difference to those children and the leaders in the home.
