God Is In The House 

This year at Faith Camp our theme is ‘God Is In The House’  – we have taken the skeleton of our teaching series ‘Father’s House.’ and adapted to focus on seeking His Presence.  A few features are:

The Fire Place

This replaces our ‘Power House’ a place children/adults can go to receive prayer ministry – it’s also a place of our Kid’s prayer team praying with others and a place where children can be encouraged and trained to pray for the sick.

The News Room

Our story keepers at the news room are going to record testimonies during the week.  The space is set up as a news desk and daily reports will feedback into the meeting, all that God’s been doing through the screens, interviews and quick reports.  We want God to ‘do it again’* in our meetings.

Discovery Groups

This year during our  evening sessions we will be having groups in: mission, treasure hunting (we call it listen and go), a prayer adventure and an encounter tent.  Our mission team from Asia and Africa will be encouraging children to be active in giving, prayer and serving where they are.  Our listen and go group will be off following God’s lead meeting his ‘treasure’ wherever they are on site – you can read last years on Heather’s ignite with testimonies site.  Our Prayer Adventure is exploring a creative way to pray into the seven mountains: business, media, entertainment, education, family, religion, government – using clues, maps and role-playing leaders to make ‘moving mountains’ an adventure.  Our Encounter tent is a place of exploring who each child is in God, how significant, loved and valued they are through prophetic acts and creative explorations.

A Duck For Burma

Our mission project this year is looking at a supporting a Children’s Home in Burma.  We wish to provide sustainable resources (i.e. ducks for eggs) to enable the children and leaders to grow the centre.  Many resources are now in Burmese, thanks to Jenny & Adrian and Heather will be visiting again early next year.
