At the start of May Nick and his friend Rich Cave from Oxford set off to lead the children’s work at New Wine Jersey in St Hellier.  This event has been running for many years with lots of churches gathering together.  Nick and Rich led a series of sessions about ‘Being The Church’ as the whole event looked at Being One.  The focus was ‘Who Am I?’ and ‘Who does God say I am?’  This meant there were lots of encounter activities and times for the children to hear from God in a variety of ways.

Much of the feedback from the children was based around custard pies in the face (obviously!) but also lots about How God has spoken to them directly during the weekend.  It was very powerful to see the young people continue their journey to discover their identity in God.  It was very clear that lots of the children regularly have times of response and soaking and must be listening to God in their homes and through family Bible study.

Nick and Rich really enjoyed the meetings and met some great families and hosts who were a real blessing to meet.  It’s exciting times in Jersey, the church appears to be united and strong and looking forward to breakthroughs in their communities.
