Heather and Nick attended the Partners In Harvest Conference (Monday 23rd-Wednesday 25th) in Hemel Hempsted along with 200 church leaders. The conference is a European gathering building a relational network. The speakers included: Dan Slade (PIH European Director), Roland Baker (Iris Ministries), Patrica Bootsma (Toronto) and Paul Manwaring (Bethel, California).
A few testimonies:
A team from Brazil shared that they had led a small team to a local town with 2000 people and only 4 Christians in the church. After 21 days of ministry they showed God’s love to many and many came to faith and joined the church; it now has 54 worshippers. A highlight for one of the pastors, was to see his 13 year old daughter pray for someone with no hearing in one ear and see him healed.
A team from Manchester (Catch The FIre School Of Ministry) went to Lyon to work with ladies in the red light district, while there they praised and worshipped and showed love to the people. They served hot tea from a flask (holding 2 or 3 cups) but as they kept pouring tea it kept coming and the flask lasted all night! While there they saw a kid run over to the band playing/worshipping in the square and wanted to know God; another 13 year old joined them and wanted to play the drums, but had broken fingers, so the team prayed for the fingers, they were healed and he played drums and chose Jesus!
